I really hate the fact I have to click on the image to see the full sized version…

But I really love the shot. Great colours, nice composition. One of the nicer landscape shots I’ve seen so far on the forum. But please change your image hosting.

i must be doing something wrong then because i just downloaded the shot from my pc (albeit my work pc). Maybe admin can point me in the right direction as to how to post directly the large size?

thanks for the comment though ciaran :)

I think it’s because you are using postimage.org

I have no idea how their hosting works, but perhaps they only allow hot linking to thumbnails, forcing people to click on the link if they want to see the full res version AND their adverts. There is a thread on the forum about free image hosting websites like flikr etc. Perhaps you should check one of them out?

I like everything about the photo, nothing not to like, so well done :)

As for photo hosting, best is to store the photos elsewhere as the one I’ve provided here is limited and
a bit annoying. I’ll see if I can find something else.

flickr seems to be one used by most in here.

I dislike the deviantart one ever more as all I tend to get are links to click on.

Ya I’ve read it before ;) Its a helpful posted for sure. I can’t however change the upload link on this that easy to be honest.

I think that people should seriously look to using one of them.

but i do have a flickr account, and i can certainly put a link to the photo no problem. I was trying to post the image straight into the thread but for some reason it only posted a thumbnail :(

    here’s the link:

Yup – you’ve got to see this in larger format to appreciate the capture – really really nicely done… was it a lucky shot or all part of a master plan you have :)

thanks everyone for the heads up on this one.

LoGill: i suppose i was lucky here with the light as this was taken in the afternoon. But all in all i don’t think it was a lucky shot, as i love that part of Dublin and go there quite regularly. The colours are always changing, and the weather can shift very quickly so you can get some dramatic results. If you check out my Dublin set or Ireland set on flickr, you’ll see loads of photos from this area in all weather conditions
