It’s a real shame there’s someone walking through the door below! (Hold your thumb over the person!)

I would even (shock! horror!) consider cloning them out!

It’d add a lot to the mystery of the shot, and could make it into a cracking image!

I could be completly off, but with some work on the levels, it could be a great B&W image. Not sure though.

Other than that…I’d crop off a bit of the right hand side!

    :)

Something like this (Quick ‘n’ dirty edit) – but you’re right :

    Yeah! That’s the job!

Crop that left hand side then and it’s set I think :)

Oops! Yeah, meant to say left hand side above! See where there’s the edge of the stairs sticking out!!!

Nice colours Frank. I like it with the person in it also.
    Lots of curves, very dynamic

I like the first image, i like it a lot , the movement and blur of both subjects adds a sense of mystery. The circular compositions running through the image work really well. The brightness of the floor is something you might look at again if you are doing any more work on this image. Well done.

I say leave the person in, much more interesting.

Interesting – thanks for all the comments.

I’ve now decided that I like both of them – they each have a different feel.

I might also try to retake it this weekend with my SLR. It was taken in Brussels (incidentally, a much underrated city, with lots of fantastic Art Deco buildings).
