Wildflower on a neglected grave

Took this shot at lunchtime today in the old graveyard of Drumcondra Church in Dublin. It may not be a great picture, but don’t you just love the way that nature takes over when we are careless enough to forget

I like this shot, only one small criticism. The top of the headstone is a bit blown out…overexposed.Try toning down the highlights to give more definition to the stone and Ivy leaves. The flower is a Bindweed, lovely white trumpet shaped blooms.
Maybe try a few different crops and see what ya get

I also like it….but I’d nearly suggest a panoramic crop? Would probably work better if there was more on the left though.

    8) Thanks for the comments, most welcome. Noely, you’re a hive of information – botanist as well as accomplished photographer! See what you mean about the headstone being a bit blown out. I’ll mess about with it in potatoshop when I get a chance. 8)
