My first tip has to be go easy on the posts. If you put up too many pictures in one go, it will be near impossible to get constructive criticism on any of them.
For what it’s worth, for a “newbie” you really seem to have an eye for a good photo, which is a really good characteristic to have. Ok, personally I’m not a fan of photos of statues, because for me it’s just duplicating someone elses art. Unless of course there’s a different take on it. So your statue photos I wouldn’t be a fan of. However, photo no. 2 is superb. Well framed, great lighting.. it’s a smashing photo and one to be proud of for sure. As is photo #6 of the roof with the converging lines. Nice lighting again, good and sharp and the composition is damn near spot on.
DaveCParticipantLike the Trevi Fountain one, well done getting the shot, I know how mental it can be with other tourists getting in the way.
nolongerParticipant1, 2, and 6 are gorgeous. #6 really stands out in this bunch particularly. The statue photos don’t really do anything for me though.
EggParticipantGreat, thanks a million guys for the responses. Apologies for the big post! Ill go easy next time. :)

Nice Pictures – saw them on Creative Ireland I think – Number two is a cracker :) Well Done

EggParticipantAliParticipantI absolutely love the picture of the ceiling. My eye is automically drawn from the top of the shot straight down, great depth, very very nice.
Definitely on my list of places to go sometime :). Agree with Ciaran, you have the eye for sure.EggParticipantRobertoMemberI like the second photo, nice effect with the light. The Trevi fountain is good too, little bit unsharp but has the atmosphere.
AllinthemindParticipantEggParticipantgerardkParticipantI particularly liked the 2nd one – but they are all excellent. Very interesting images and nicely captured.
carlParticipantNo. 4 for me, wow! I like the depth and scale and the way the walls contrast with the ceiling!
SteveDParticipantEgg, glad to see you are not afraid to come out of your shell and post plenty of photos. (Awful joke I know).
Number 2 has potential as a nice interior shot, but I think you need to bring some detail out of some of the shadow areas. Look at that floor for example, try and bring out a bit more detail and colour.
