Cropped 10×8. See what you guys think anyway :) Model as usual is Jessica Hart.
gerardkParticipantThats a gorgeous picture – I think the polka dot make up and jewellry looks cool. Its kind of a bit 60’s and futuristic looking at the same time – imo. The lighting is great – especially on the left hand side (looking a the pic) its dark enough but not too dark imo. The light on her hair, the sharpness and the crop are all spot on too. Great work.
RobertoMemberThe lighting, make-up and necklace together with the beautiful face makes perfect portrait and fashion photo all together.
Congrat!AliParticipantMoyaParticipantI really like this …….but, em, can I see goose bumps?!?!?! I’m not seeing smooth skin. Find it a bit distracting on neck and shoulders. Great expression and black and white theme looks really well.
nolongerParticipantI thought I noticed goosebumps as well. Although I find goosebumps incredibly sexy in general, it doesn’t really go with this shot that much. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic.
MarkKeymasterGreat shot Ali, you’ve got your own look going for sure. The goosebumps should be cloned out I think.
Minor enough detail I guess but its all about the detail.Antifuse: Too much information mate

AliParticipantlol, thx a mil all, goose bumps stay. If i wanted to shoot a blow up doll i would have went to ann sumers :p
stuttterMemberHi Ali,
that really looks great.
Think we are all too used to seeing retouched photos in mag etc to be picking up on goose bumps.
I found this link to some amazing retouching.
Wait for the images to laod before you roll your cursor over each pic to see the before and after.

MoyaParticipantAli,
I always think that it’s what you (the photographer) likes and wants from a photo that’s important. I’m sorry I mentioned the goose bumps now!!!!!!!
Was just typing this when your email came in…..!!AliParticipantThanks a mil Stutter for the link. :) Moya, that’s it…. i’m not making you any tea on your first night at the camera club. :D
rymusMemberMaybe it’s just me, but that link also displays several shots that in my opinion anyway were over processed. There simply was no need to go near some of them and processing them just made them look fake or plain odd. Personally, I’d rather see a few pores or a small wrinkle rather than having a model look like they’ve been covered in cling film :D
