Sunrise Sillhouette

  This was taken on the sand dunes in Donabate at about 4:30am last summer.
  I’m a big fan of sillhouettes (even if I can’t spell the word!).

  Taken on Fuji Velvia 50 asa film – no adjustment apart from cropping.

  Any comments suggestions welcome.

  Very Pretty. great colours and the perspective from the foreground is a nice touch :)

  I’m trying to practice a couple of silhouette shots myself at the moment… Can be harder than you think :oops:

  I HATE THIS IMAGE!

  Only joking, Kevin.
  It’s a great shot. There is a knack to taking this type of shot, and you have it.
  You can feel the warmth in the shot, even though it’s taken at sunrise!
  Perfect exposure, even a little glow at the base of the sun – but not burnt out.

  this image got slated at one CC comp. – can’t remember why – but is always been one of my favs.
