Reuters sack Beirut photographer

    Yep I saw that story yesterday – it looks like he very amateurishly dodged in some extra blackened smoke in one picture – not sure what he did to the other one.

    It would make you wonder about what else gets through from people who are more experienced in photoshop. I wouldnt have thought with tight deadlines it could have been an issue but apparently it is. Does anyone know if that canon user verification kit (the one police use for crime scene photos) would detect an altered photo ? or does it just confirm the camera serial number/date/time etc.

    Very poor indeed and it begs the question…..why?
    It’s actually so amateurish for a pro it kinda makes ya wonder….hmmmm…CLONE – STAMP – CLONE – STAMP :wink:

    Its not like the extra smoke added anything to the image.
    If he had wait 5-10mins if probably would have naturally grown to that size.

    I think in another image he added an F16 or something similar :( tut tut
