Color Management for Photographers by Andrew Rodney

I got this book last week from Focal Press. If you want to get to know more about colour management then it could be a good buy. Its key features are things like;
Colour management using Photoshop CS2
Self-paced tutorials and a practise CD with tutorial, sample images and software
Case studies explaining what works and what does’nt
Discussion on best practice for various imaging components (scanners, cameras, monitors, printers).
What from what I’ve read so far it starts at the bottom and works up to pretty technical.Hi Gerry
Sounds like a good book.
I only print up to A4 on my Epson R300 and then send the rest off for printing. That said, I would like to have more control over the colour and quality. Could you tell me if the book helps at that level or is it pitched more at serious printers?
I think it would help cause if you print at all on any printer you do need to have
a good printer profile and certainly if you can get the computer screen and

The one book that I constantly seem to see mentioned in any online discussion is Real World Colour Management by Bruce Fraser. Seems to almost be an industry bible. I’d be interested in hearing how the two books compare as colour management is something I’d like to research more myself.
