Large format printers

BazParticipant
Could anyone tell me of anywhere in dublin that sells large format printers A2 OR A1 any make. There are plenty available online, but would like to see one in action before i buy.The help would be greatly appreciated thanks.Barry
ThorstenMemberWell, for Epson you could try Image Supply Systems, Sheldon Photographic or Stewart Photo Supplies. If your serious about spending money on such a large printer then these guys should be making the effort to make the sale to you and that includes working demos to show off the product. And if they can’t demo it for you they should surely be able to indicate who can. Not so sure about Canon or HP or any other make though.
BazParticipantciaranParticipantYup.. Stewarts Photo Supply would get my vote too! Be careful choosing suppliers. It’s not just about purchasing the printer on the day, you’ll need to ensure a reliable source of ink and paper/canvas down the road.
FintanParticipantI’d say Image Supplies have the most setup for you to see. Dont forget some of your own images to test.
BazParticipantGCPParticipantStewart Photo Supplies have been around for many years. I’ve known Alan Stewart since he was with QL in the 80’s and a good guy. Andrews Graphic Systems is also another great supplier. Talk to Conor there.
richiehatchMemberyou could try Diatec…! I have dealth with them for years through work but only for HP products…
contact details at the bottom of the page
good luck

AnonymousParticipantHi Baz
Yeah def give Stewarts a try,i got the 4800 from Epson from them and am well chuffed. As Gerry suggested to make the sale they will bring u up to some place and run off test prints from your files and show you the working demo. Talk to Robert there as he spot on.
Inks are pricey though especially the 220 mls,you may do better getting them online. Also if youre buying with cash ask what they are throwing in with it,they had a scanner at a recent show thrown in with every cash order taken. If youre down kilkenny way drop into me a nd i will show you it in action…
Ben 8)BazParticipantThanks everyone for the advice, just took delivery of an epson 7800 from stewarts. excellent machine well happy.

Gee, that’s clever! They do have a telephone number, fax number and email address at the bottom of the page though, so maybe ask them that way.
FreeAndPhotographyIrelandParticipantThanks Thorsten, seems alot of bother (even though its probably less than typing this it just seems easier)

I know what you mean. If I was in business, I’d want to make sure that it was as easy as possible for my customer to contact me – unless, of course, I had too many customers, in which case I might put some obstacles in their way. I hardly think that’s the case here though. It’s a competitive market and one would think that companies would try and enhance the customer experience in whatever way possible.

They’re just off the Nangor Road in Clondalkin, right opposite the Park West entrance.
