Archiving on DVD (especially Customers Photgraph Files)

To date I have been archiving customer files on CD’s bur have been toying with the idea of going DVD
as they are supposed to have a longer life span, you can get more data on a DVD, etc.
So far each CD is filed with a printed up data label applied for easy reference and retrieval if required.
I am looking at the below……which as well as putting the files on DVD also burns a “label” as well.I’d like to hear some of your comments/experiences/recommendations on this before I go ahead.
Also, I am looking for a software packege…..a simple one for idiots (like me)…….that will take a folder of images
and put them in low resolution on to a DVD that people can use to select the images they wish to have reprinted from
their TV. It has to be non printable, low resolution images but still good quality on a TV screen and easily used…………………Any ideas ?…thanks in advance.Lacie d2 DVD?RW with LightScribe 16x
