Lovely colours and location. Get the horizon straight and it will be a lovely shot.
andy mcinroyParticipantFair play to you for trying to put togther a pleasing composition from this difficult position. Unfortunately, as Carl has pointed out, the horizon has been sacrificed. Very few landscape photos that I have ever seen have managed to make effective use of an angled horizon. This is perhaps the only photographic rule that I would be loath to break. The rest you can smash away.

Mick451ParticipantAye, it’s a good shot that could be made better by straightening the horizon and editing out the bulldozer.
With your permission I’ll post a quick edit.RobertoMemberI like the colours.
The bulldozer and the horizon are the negative points.
I think that the sharpness need to be amended as well.dunnieParticipantMick451 wrote:

was wondering where the bull dozer in the photo was . that is a ship wreck
that was the subject just didnt want to fall off cliff trying to get all of it in.
def an improvement though. :)
how did you get the photo up like that would love to be able to post like that.andy mcinroyParticipantNice Mick. That was worth the effort.
Nice contrasting sea colour and balanced composition. Just goes to show how you can transform a flawed image into something rather special.

And a good place to go back to. If you’re into landscapes and seascapes, it might be worth your while to rent a small jeep and drive the mountain road from Zakynthos town up to Skinaria and St Nicolas Port then back down to Kerion, fantastic scenery all the way, and it being such a small island, views of the Ionian See for most of it; a good couple of days of photography would see the entire island.
