Feel free to edit – it’s a banana leaf and flower, taken in the greenhouse in the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin…….

Cool, I like it. I would just chop that little distraction off at the top left of the pic. Very nice.

I would go for the more detail photo of the flower. It looks interesting.

    Very nice paperdoll!

That looks digitally produced to me… very clean, almost as though you generated the greenery in a 3D package and added the flower in Photoshop. Can I ask what camera & settings you used?

Would make a nice desktop backdrop!

Must go back to the botanic gardens sometime… was there last year in the winter… don’t want it to get to winter again before I manage to pay it another visit!

    Good work.

I love this shot. My kinda stuff. Very graphic.
Maybe doctor the top left corner. Just a little distracting.

Hmmm – must have missed something. It does absolutely nothing for me other than make me want to comment about the harsh shadows and the spot of glare (probably caused by direct on-camera flash). Sorry if that comes across very negative!

Ahhh….now we’re sorting out the photographers from the graphic artists :D

Thanks for all the comments – it was taken with my new Nikon D70s (still trying to get used to it, I only got it a couple of weeks ago).

I had to do an auto-contrast/brightness on it in Photoshop to get it to look half way decent, which I’m sure is way amateurish!

FYI, adjustments like that are all part of the post-processing for digital images.
I actually have bananas growing in my garden, I should get out (in between the rain) and take some photos myself.
