Black and white

Light was rubbish but I found these two contrasting boulders which just had to be photographed. As Arnie might say “I’ll be back”.

I’m sorry to say, Andy, but the black “rock” looks like it’s been dropped in and its shadow looks fake!
I’m afraid this image does nothing for me either Andy. There just isn’t anything to hold interest for any more than a quick glance. Perhaps these two contrasting boulders can make a good picture, but certaintly not from that angle. There’s altogether far too much going on elsewhere in the image for any one element to really grab attention. Sorry, just my personal opinion.

Perhaps part of the problem is that there is no sense of scale. These boulders were at least a couple of tonnes each which perhaps does’t come across in the photo. I just thought they were so unusual and contrasting sitting side by side like that and worth posting for your interest, or lack of interest as the case may be.
I can assure you swordie that you would have needed a industrial crane to just drop that black boulder in !!
