    I visited this cemetery recently and was shocked at the state of neglect. It used to be kept in immaculate condition.

    Really like the second and third photographs.
    Nice conversions (assuming not on film?) to b+w on both.

    Nice closeup detail and texture on the second. Looks like you got it right with the shadows emphasing the letters.
    Only thing which would improve it would be not to have the out of focus plant in the foreground as its
    a little bit of a distraction. Either retake or clone out ?. Still an interesting photograph though.

    Very good work there. I’m very drawn to that third image in particular, very striking indeed. Unusual composition but beautiful depth and focus. While the sun seems to have blown out the tops of both crosses it doesn’t really harm the overall effect of the image. One to be proud of. As Mark pointed out, the second photograph might be improved by the removal/cloning of the out of focus plant in the foreground.

    Thanks a lot for your constructive comments. I will try to clone out the plant details in #2 and see how I get on.
