Thanks Fintan lol.. thinking about throwing the Nikon away alright. Damn thing is like a leech!!!
I’ve been toying with the idea of producing a series of shots from disposable cameras, just for the fun aspect.

    Great atmosphere Ali, super shot.

I hope that this will be encouragement to current/future members who are using compact cameras and somehow feel
that their camera’s might not be up to it. You know the old ‘oh i only have a compact’ comment.

This photograph blows that thinking and logic out of the water in my opinion.

Great shot Ali. Such simple composition and it works so well. Did you do much to the image after digitising it? I love the tones.

    Super image Ali,

There’s a lot to be said for keeping it simple. The eye and the brain is about all you need.

Who needs Canon L glass anyway?

    Nice one

Thanks all, was pretty chuffed with this. Carl, i can’t really remember what i did to it. I wasn’t really competent with PS at the time so
it probably involved some bizarre monochrome conversion and a bit of burning :).

Low fidelity photography, super . Initially the blown sky distracted me a little but on second viewing i find it adds a feeling of lost world loneliness with the child looking into an empty sky.

Superb image. Just love all that space and openness. Well spotted.
