Cote d’Azure

  Hi all,

  Shot of the Cote d’Azure in May from a few years back. Taken with Fuji S7000 and 0.79x extender. I would love some advice, C & C on the shot. I kinda like the shot from the array of colurs point of view but technically I’m not sure. Go Raibh Mile

  Nice image & nice colours, nothing much wrong with it, but it doesn’t jump out at you.
  The sky seems a bit washed out and I think it detracts from the overall image.
  Perhaps if you cropped out the horizon, sharpened it a tad and increased the contrast it might have a bit more impact?
  I didn’t want to do this myself as there is no note re diting your pics.

  I agree that it might be better without the sky. Also, the horizon looks slightly curved and personally, that would annoy me. I like the colours, though!

  I think the curved horizon is from barrel distortion I think, (which I never noticed in any other of landscapes taken with this setup before).

  Hi there,

  here is a very basic edit (I only have elements 2 on this machine) and I am certainly no expert in digital manipulation.
  I think it looks better – what are your thoughts?

  Looks good! I’m going to play around the image as well. I am more of a butcher than a surgeon with digital manipulation!!!
