This is one from the archives, taken at Portmagee Regatta in 1994. I thought you might enjoy it. Old Ireland and all that. Comments welcome.

Missed this one originally and it is certainly worthy of comment. Great capture of Irish character. Personally I would crop along the bottom a wee bit, but this image works for me! Well done

I find the missing arm a “little” distracting so maybe the crop would help in this regard

This crop and slight rotation is definitely an improvement onthe original, eliminating that distracting car bonnet he’s leaning on. Like Lorraine, I do find the whole ‘missing arm’ issue a little disconcerting, though a severe crop of this aspect would probably ruin what is quite a good image anyway.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, the crop is an improvement. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about the missing arm. It’s not on the original neg either :cry:
