  Hi all,

  Shot of Beltra Beach Mayo cropped leterbox. C & C advice and editing, particularly the colours most welcome. Shot taken with trusty Fuji S7000 and x0.79 extender.

  Hi Griangraf.

  Firstly, I don’t know enough about editing to be able to help you out regarding colours etc., though if I could just offer one small piece of advice regarding your picture. The whole letterbox/panorama question arose before in another thread started by Bertie Wooster https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=849 and it might be worth your while to read through that particular thread regarding issues of composition/focal points etc.

  Regarding your own picture, I quite like the colours in it but I can’t find anything to really draw me in to the image. Plus, excuse me for noticing it, but your horizon is off and the picture needs to be rotated at least a degree or two CCW. Unfortunately, the letterbox format really accentuates the slant so that’s something you need to be careful of. Hope you don’t mind my comments.

  Thanks for your comments. I am going to sort out the image as regards horizon and I think you are right that there is a need for a focal point or the like.

  Cleaned up the shot horizon wise etc. It probably still needs something. I have also include and B&W conversion. C & C advice still very welcome.
