My Way home

One from a couple of months back. I like it cause it’s so simple and i get the feeling i’m almost there. See what you think.
Superb sky. For me, the detail right up close on the RHS is a distraction that doesn’t add interest. When I block it with my hand it’s a stronger image but then good sky detail is cropped. I like these simple sky/landscapes and this is a good one.
MI like it. Nice tones. The right side is Ok for me. I would crop it and use for second photo with different tones.

I might consider a crop, but if your intention was to communicate the feeling of being “in” the field rather than “beside it” then I think it’s fine to leave it the way it is.
Sky is stunning.

I would agree with Margaret on this one – would have been much nicer without it – not sure if a crop would look as good as this one…
Thanks a mil all for the critique, i really like the bottom right hand section. I don’t know, maybe it’s nostalgic but it really reminds me of years ago playing on my grandads farm. Being the same height as the crop and being able to see over the top. For me, cropping it out would really just take all of the away and make it any old field. I also think it suggests movement of some sort? An obstacle? Ok time to go to bed maybe :lol:

I’d have to agree with Andy here about the feeling of being ‘in’ the field. Very strong landscape. Must be on my way home too I guess 8)
lol, well my way home will be slightly different in a couple of weeks so i better find another field :)

Think the right hand side helps give the image some real depth, without it the photo wouldn’t have the same sense of scale somehow.Ali wrote:
