that’s the kind of image that appeals to me. No suggestions for improvement – I like it just the way it is

That is a great image – a very dramatic composition nicely done.

    Hi Kevin,
    I like this image.
I made a couple of changes, but I don’t know if it improves it. Just a different effect.
I straightened the trees and gave it a Magenta/Black duotone.

KPM nice image, but there’s one fundamental flaw in the picture. I wish it were mine. Lovely image well done. Can I suggest one little thing, would be a quick cloning job. Where the sun peeps around the tree trunk on the left there’s a kinda half circle from the sun over lapping the tree. It kinda draws the eye to it. Apart from this it’s a wonderful image.

I like this shot. The suggestion from Brian is good.

I like this shot too. However, I would disagree with Brian on the cloning job. I think it would look fake. What happened there is a natural phenomenon caused by a combination of flare and diffraction.

I think it’s a really excellent shot and works very well in black and white.Yoiu’ve really caught a nice atmosphere there.

Hi Kev,this is a great pic! i would leave it as you have it. This just shows how stong the sun can be burning through the foliage at that time of day. Hope you have this printed as a 20×16..

I’m with the majority here. Leave it be, perfectly captured.

KPM, I hope I’ve not over-stepped the mark with my suggestion. I suppose that’s one of the beauties with photography, there’s no right way to do or see things. Everyone see’s and interepts images differantly. It’s a lovely image.

    Brian,

theres no such thing as overstepping the mark when it comes to suggestions. The reason I post images is to see if someone can take a different perspective, point out flaws that I didn’t notice, or suggest some photoshop processing to enhance an image.

I am, and I’m sure the vast majority of posters are, grateful for all feedback / opinions whether we agree with them or not.

Thanks to all for the comments.

Thanks a cracking image, KPM, wouldn’t change a thing.
Would be well worth going back to later in the year and doing a colour version with autumnal colours.
