One of a series of shots taken just after sunset at Blessington Lakes a few years ago.
Taken on Fuji Velvia 50 ASA with a Nikon F60 – can’t remember the settings.

Scan from the developers and no adjustments made.

All comments / suggestions welcome. Does the stick (bottom right) add to or detract from the image?

I like this shot. Great colours. Do you remember if you used any filters to get this effect? I suck with filters and need to learn. I like the stick on the lower corner. Only thing that I would possibly look at is the darkness of it.

    Hi Aidan,

I had a polariser filter on, and underexposed by 2/3 of a stop. This would bring out the vibrant colours in Velvia (with my old camera anyway) but there was always the possibility of too dark an image.

Very nice. Its like the surface is going to freeze over any second. Really like the colors too.

Very nice colours and good composition. The small branch in the water is in good position, to me.
