Just wanted to share a photo I took today. Shooting into the sun, so lost a bit of contrast in the sky. Converted in Adobe RAW using ‘auto’ settings. Lee 0.6 ND grad and Lee Coral filter used (coral filter is graduated, so I inverted it to warm the foreground).
Excellent as usual Steve. Despite losing some of the contrast in the sky, the image really works for me. And very creative idea to warm the foreground. I’m impressed.
Lovely shot Steve. Love the greens and the little hint of red on the beach. I’m hoping to head up that way at the weekend, we may bring the caravan and stay at Ballyness for a couple of days. Hopefully I can get a couple of shots in, hope they’re half as good as some of yours..
Apologies in advance if this is stupid, but isn’t the reflection of the clouds in water (middle, right) a bit too red in the original picture? Is it from ‘warmifying’ the photo? I really like Si’s version – I can actually see the clouds reflection, still slight ‘bloat’ from the sand or something.. Or is it just a good thing to have?
