120 film
-
DenverDollParticipant
Hi everyone! I will be visiting Dublin later this week and I wondered if anyone knows where to purchase 120 film for my Holga. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks millions 8)
jb7ParticipantHiya DenverDoll-
Hall’s Cameras should have it,
though its not the only place-Hall’s cameras
on Wexford Street-Hope you get the weather-

pete4130MemberDenverDoll,
I think JB7 might have made a typo. Isn’t Halls Camera’s on Talbot Street and Gunnes is on Wexford Street? He’s right though, a good few places have 120 film. Gunnes on Wexford Street should have a good selection, its a nice shop and family run, so they are super friendly and generally cheaper for film than most other places.
Some other places to try if you get no luck in gunnes would be Camera Exchange on Georgest Street, Berminghams on the quays near O’connell Bridge or Conns Camera’s just off Grafton Street.Pete.
jb7ParticipantDenverDollParticipantWow that was quick! Thanks very much both of you. That gives me several options and I am familiar with the area, so is a relief to know I won’t have to poke around too much. Haven’t got enough time ever. Again, thanks for the lightening fast advice, I was frantic and now I feel much better
:D
jb7ParticipantYou’re welcome-
The Doll thing will speed things up,
though I would have given the same inaccurate advice to DenverBronco-j
DenverDollParticipantExpresbroParticipantYou charmer you Joseph..hehe!!
Denver Doll…I’m sure you’ll get sorted out with film…just don’t forget the Holga
DenverDollParticipantExpresbro…after I took great pains to scrape every last piece of her up when she splintered on the asphalt…holding up the entire parade…and then lovingly taped her back together…I wouldn’t dream of leaving her behind!
JokerParticipantpete4130MemberJoker,
Being a music fan that I think you are, I’m surprised you don’t know where Wexford St. is!? It’s really easy to get to from Temple bar if you are walking. From Dame Street, go straight up Georges Street (the street where the Phillips Electroincs store is) and follow that road all the way though several sets of traffic lights until you get to a crossroads where you see a pub called “The Cornerstone”. Go through this crossroads and you should be on Wexford Street. Gunnes will beon your left next to a MACE store.
On a related note, I just finished my first roll through a borrowed Holga. Its C41 so I’m dropping it in tomorrow to get it developed. I’ve no idea what to exepct if anything. I’ll be sure to post the outcome good or bad.
Fingers crossed!
Pete.
DenverDollParticipantWith helpful advice from you all, Expresbro and I were able to find the 120 film I needed, and now for the future, does anyone know of the quickest place to have same film, incuding prints that is, developed in Dublin as well? Thank you so much, you all saved me a bundle of time this time!
niallerParticipantThe Camera Exchange on Georges Street do dev+print for about ?7, for 5×5 prints, but you wouldn’t want to be in a hurry…
DenverDollParticipantOK :) and thanks for that nialler! When I get that leisurely visit I’ve been craving I can definitely use that information. Much appreciated.
