However, after years of using a small changing bag – usually with great success – I bought a Calumet Changing Room which is a fancier (roomier) version of a changing bag which allows your arms and hands to work much more freely and is the business.

Here’s a link to what I am talking about:

Well worth buying and can be found on various online stores.[/b]

Be sure to ask for the Linda Barker version in case you get the Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen one

That looks like a similar set up to the one Joseph (JB7) was using on the Mourne trip for working on his Large format negs. Except his looked more like a mini tent.

Years ago I used to love watching the tv show Lost in Space, aaahhh, happy memories. When I followed your link I could hear this voice in my head going “Danger, danger, Will Robinson, danger, danger”. Probably before your time and this reminiscing is lost on you.

Not lost on me at all! Another saying was “Warning! Warning! Alien approaching!”

And of course there was the ever slimey Dr. Smith.

I used to have terrible problems doing this using a changing bag. After doing one or two rolls the moisture builds up in the bag (from sweat etc) and the film starts jamming on the reels. I don’t use the bags anymore and just do it on a desk in the darkroom and it’s a million times easier.
