hi fiona welcome.this is a really nice image the girl gives the image a really strong focal. I am sure it would make a good black and white conversion also i messed around with image and cropped the rocks frm the top out and it worked well.

    Hi Fiona,

Nice shot, I would also crop the rocks from the top.

B&W might work alright, but If you are going to leave it in colour you might saturate it a little. Colours look a little bit flat for me. But I’m looking at it on a laptop screen.

I’m not sure about cropping it. There’s a kind of an “S” shape there in the original version that’s quite appealing.

    Nice work Fiona.

Hi Fiona & welcome to the forum.

I would go along with Harry, I wouldnt crop the rocks out at all.
You made sure to have them in and I think they add to the overall pic.

    I like it.

    Welcome to the forum Fiona,

This is a nice image with some strong lines and interesting feeling about it. I like the way the girl seems absorbed by the waves at her feet, enjoying the moment and the freshness of the water under the toes.

As for the crop, I have no real preference. My tendancy would be to keep the rocks in. The sand at the bottom and the rocks at the top frame this quite nicely.

Thanks for the feedback, I put the photo in b/w and actually prefer it ! Not too sure about cropping out the rocks though.
Photo was taken in Keem Bay in Achill.

i think with the rocks cropped it adds more to the waves and the figure i dont know why i just think it works better

I like the rocks. Also this image portrays deep thought on the Girls part IMO there is a story here.

Very nice image Fiona, I was at Keel beach last week and it certainly didn’t look like this. The girls reflection also adds nicely to this image.
