I like this one. Obvious first comments would be about a little softness but I think this adds to an atmosphere of the end of a hot day and the laziness in the heat. The other thing that caught my eye which is quite interesting, but for the sake of the image is slightly distracting is the bi-plane? It’s a peculiar distraction…not what you’d normally see around these parts anyway.

    Nice first post.

    Hi Cramp,

what an interesting name choice (;. The sunset colours are very beatuiful in contrast to the silouettes. composition is a bit unbalanced. some crop versions could find the best perspective on it. The elements (plan, birds, ships, sun…) is impressiv and makes it very interesting. The mood of the images is my favorite part of it.

    Thanks for the comments

Madeleine the sunset was amazing .. I have shot many sunsets and and I am often dissappointed with the results but Very happy with this one I have not modified it any way. How would you suggest it should be cropped?

Alan .. Thanks, I didn’t even notice the Bi Plane when shooting I find the segull on the Right Hand side a little off putting as it is out of Focus

    Thanks

    Marc

Indeed the colours are stunning and yes….it is hard to get them- well done.
regarding the crop. You could make a “fake panorama” crop (get read of the top part of the image).Or you could make a square but this will excluded the other two ships.
I would prefer the pano crop. What ever you choose….the colours and play of silouettes is the strong part of the image….the composition will be on the second place because you hardly can do anything about it. sometimes images are fantastic although they are not balanced in every way. Cheers Madeleine
