When taking these you need to get a bit closer to the action. Whether you do that by moving up to the barrier or using a longer focal length is up to you. I’ve been to a couple of grand prixs and I know that getting closer is difficult so you need to get your hands on a 200mm or 400mm lens.
These shots could also do with some cropping. For example, in the first shot, the Ferrari is the object of interest. Yet there is a big area of track seen all around this which is not really adding anything to the photo.
Having said all that, exposure is well controlled and there’s some interesting subject matter.
Thanks wirepic for your comments, I agree about getting closer, then there is the added problem of having the fence in each shot. Unfortunately I don’t have the funds either for a new lens, but hopefully I will before the next GP. :wink:
Regarding your comment on pic #1 the idea was to have the Ferrari and the Shell logo together, but I take your point there is a lot of track around the car. :D
