Had a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 when my brother called in last weekend so I took the opputunity to shoot off the roll, I know its not really protrait film but that is what was in the camera, I just used the window as my light source.
Great looking images, doesn’t matter about the large balls of grain, god only knows if it were digital you would destroy it by making it clean and sterile, sometimes it’s the moment that matters, well done :D
Don’t think I’ve ever used anything faster than 400, apart from Tungsten slide film and I can’t remember what ISO it is. The grain is too strong for my taste, but, having said that, I love the one with the baby sleeping. I’d love to see that printed on a fine art rag paper. The grain looks really good in that frame.
Alex.
Thanks for the feedback I more inclined to agree with alex but as I shot this indoors with very little light no flash, I could have maybe held the camera steady enough for a 800 or 1200, but I love the extra thought that I have to put into a shot, it really gets you thinking again (me anyway) before pressing the shutter release.
Shot a roll of colour this morning (fitst one in about 15 years) and planing to process it tomrrow if time permits!
