miki gParticipanttexMember3 lovely shots with a terrific range of colour. However I do think that perhaps you might have too much of the foreground rock showing in your 1st shot. I think that it takes away from the small waterfall in the background.I would suggest that you crop just below the large leaf placed on the foreground rock.
AidyParticipantExcellent series of shots. I find I sometimes comment just to acknowledge great photos – there is now way I could offer critique on a photographer like yourself. I would feel arrogant! Perhaps the site does need a section for images just to be enjoyed. No need for advice on shots like this.
brendancullenParticipantTex – Excellent observation…rather than cropping i plan to go up again during the next week or two as the leaves in the trees hadn’t turned gold yet.
Aidy – Thanks for your kind words – I’m a mere novice of 3 years so feel free to say anything you wish – that’s why i post here….to get other peoples opinions and observations. You want to see the crap i was posting but a few short years ago….thankfully many PI users pulled me up on it.
bugabooParticipantGreat shots,as usual, one of my favourite locations, Shot No.3 is my favourite. Is it taken above the bridge?
AidyParticipantThat’s some progress in 3 years Brendan. You’re right of course that we should always try to improve and learn more, but not much to criticise in those shots. Keep ’em coming!
brendancullenParticipantbugaboo – Its a 10 second exposure from right under the bridge. Best to go the day after a good dose of rain as its a granite hill and runs off pretty quick. As its a gorge on the top half of the river you never get any light on the water.
CormacDParticipantThey are 3 fantastic shots, really like the first 1. Would you have any tips as this is something I’m just starting to try, I posted my first attempts yesterday..
