EDIT: image no 1, straighten horizon and took care of the pixels (;
sean1098MemberBeautiful as usual Madeleine…….I would love to come down to Kerry for a shoot with.
Sean.
Poulet et Lait…MemberIt’s the third shot for me. With these landscape shots (IMO) the horizon level has to be straight and the first shot would have been the best if it was straight. Just be very careful with your watermark, because I think that the use of the watermark is taking a good bit from these images, because it’s the first thing I see when I view them. Just perhaps a little more subtlety is required with it.
Poulet et Lait…MemberAlso how are you saving these images? There looks like some heavy compression (particularly on the first image when you look at the right of the image)
snaphappyMemberMick451ParticipantkellyseyeParticipantMadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantthanks folks for your attention. tough, yes the watermark is bit annoying but i had to change plans because my images were used by a travel company without permission ( see http://www.calaido.blogspot.com). For me it is annoying as well because it is distracting but i have to balance the presentation with a bit more control. I hope you stay relaxed and look “through it” ( ;
Poulet you’ve got me, thanks, usually i am a straight-horizon-freak, somehow i missed to control it here and yes the reduction was massiv. I use photoshop actions and let the images run through before posting them. The action was to radical for this one. I updated the image!
cheers Madeleine
dar_dParticipantThe third one is fantastic, the different colours in the clouds are great…They are really realistic looking compared to a lot of the HDR shots you see nowadays…..
DenverDollParticipantMadeleine~
The third one is my favorite of all of yours so far.
Very special! We’re all moving to Kerry now..watch out!

TompixBandonMemberI go with #3 also – superb photograph. For me, one of the best compositions I have seen. I particularly like the way even the pebbles on the beech draw one towards the sun.
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantthanks Sharon, Tom and dar_d. I am impressed that the 3rd image attracts you most of them. i would n’t call it MY favorite but the feelings regarding imagery are so different.
Some of you wrote me emails with the question about the sunstar: the sun star is not photoshop, it is because i used the 16-35mm of canon. It creates this kind of sunstars. The same for this images:
Cheers Madeleine
kdolinnyParticipantagain great work… I just visit your web and have to say I am very imprest
LudaParticipantThat last shot of the trees is amazing. I have no idea how to get these kinds of shots so evenly exposed.
Are you merging these as an HDR image? Something I’ve only tried once – with poor results.MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantHi Luda, yes the magic forest image is a hdr. I use photomatix! thanks for you enthusiasm. Cheers Madeleine
