ExpresbroParticipant
Well…
I never thought my 3000th Post would be in the Sports Section..
But what the hell… it’s kinda street too…
A few detail shots from the American Football game in Tallaght last weekend.
and I think this guy had just had enough….
Robbie
8)nfl-fanParticipant* 3000 posts… 4th on the PI poster listing… another 5-Pie celebration
* #3 = Classic – Pro Sports Personified :lol:
ExpresbroParticipantHehehe!! I know John..he had actually asked Graham to get a shot of him in his gear and having a smoke…!!!
Must be a new kind of sports fad…
His name is Jay btw..and he works with Graham..so another Techie…
I suppose like all you techs he likes to show he can multi task…. :D
nfl-fanParticipantDon’t start now with the Karate Kid Graham again… I’m a lover, not a fighter… if he wants a scrap then Joe Elway is into the MMA stuff.
irishshaguaParticipant:lol: :D Number three is class. Very funny.
Number one is a good shot. Real good dejected view on the player. Would be nice to maybe see the opposing teams blurred celebrations in the background or something but a good shot.
Well done
BrianExpresbroParticipantBelieve it or not…the match wasn’t even over when I took that shot…
He had to play another quarter!!!
These are real men….not yer pampered soccer players…hehehe!! Smokes during time outs…
What can ya say!!
Edit: Ooops…read that wrong… No.1 was while the game was on okay…but they had a rough time..the Outlaws…
But not as bad as some of the other teams as you’ll see if you check the scores from the other matches on a previous thread.
Pretty disheartening to just watch score after score going up against ya okay.
DenverDollParticipantWow!
I have never seen a football player smoking
Nice one Robbie!
Shar
constantineParticipantExpresbroParticipantThanks Shar..Ken..
I don’t think he makes a habit (bad pun) of smoking during games..I think he just took advantage of having some friendly togs present and wanted the shot as a joke.
Mind you…his coach has already found the shots on my Flickr..so not sure he’ll be too happy when he sees this shot…heheh!!
ExpresbroParticipantActually..I was thinking of printing these 3 shots as a triptych …wanted to do a web version but I’m not sure how to put these in one frame. I’ve seen a good few examples on here over the years, but have never done it myself.
If anyone can explain how it’s done in PS that would be great ;-)

nfl-fanParticipantRobbie,
I have the details for doing a triptych at home, plus some templates. Will post this evening assuming you don’t figure it out before hand.
J
ExpresbroParticipantGreat!! Thanks John. No fear of me figuring it our before then… actualkly have to do a bit of work this morning…so all my braincells will be in use…heheh!!
nfl-fanParticipantIt’s simple enough.. something along the lines of:
Get a template
Take you first shot and create it as a new layer on top of the template
I think you have to change the blend mode… can’t remember
Use free transform and the move tool to position and resize over the relevant triptych image space
Use the eraser tool to rub out any overlap between the image and the border of the triptych image space
Repeat for the rest of the shotsWill update tonight.
ExpresbroParticipantThanks John.
I don’t have PS in work anyway… just Picasa and Photofiltre and my 30 day trial of Elements just ran out.
GfoxParticipantHey Robbie,
I thought I recognised those shots!!!Check out my flickr
I was there taking shots for the DCU guys..
The weather sure didnt help but gave us some good shots…
