Brendan your 4 shots are terrific from exposure ,composition and capture of colour . However I do think that the water flow is too fast and I wonder if you shot it at different shutter speeds? I feel the speed of the water in each shot is too dominant to the detriment of the overall photo. Of course this is just my opinion.

Last one is the pick for me, beautiful colours. I disagree with tex, in photo 4 I think the waterfall makes a great foreground object so is dominant anyway. Of course, as he says, it’s just my opinion.

i really like all four, but 2 (particularly) and 3 would be my favourites. you have managed to nail composition and exposure in what can be very tricky conditions. the colours of the leaves etc are beautiful and the (albeit) early’ish evening light is lovely in the forest ……nothing but rain and blanket grey up here in the north west ! …. chances of photographs are close to nil ! something “slightly ” different from your usual brendan …but top class !…….as always ….

Classic high quality calendar-type shots. Really good technique and accomplished work that should sell well. Getting some colour in the sky through the trees is a plus too. That second shot with the twisting river leading up to the bridge is particularly good.

There’s a tendency with water to always use a longer exposure to blur the movement. This is the way it gets taught but it gets overdone and some don’t like it at all. The last shot here gets some movement without the painterly cotton wool effect.

Wish I lived in Wicklow, or Kerry…

Great set. Everything being said already, I think, and agree to most of it. The exposure, colour, light, composition, etc; you’ve captured everything spot on. Cannot decide about the water flow as I’d think it might look too..common? with the ‘milky’ water. Well done overall :)
