    Hi,

First test of improved focussing using 40D’s x10 liveview to manually focus. Here is the result…

Let me know what you think?

That eye is absolutely beautiful. Crystal clear. The detail in it is brilliant. DOF is perfect on the eye as well. It almost looks like the lizard (or whatever it is) was looking at a supernova from the reflection in its eye. Very trippy. You’re making me jealous with shots like that. I really want to upgrade now.

I can’t fault it, no matter how much I want to (I’m really just a jealous bastard at heart). Beautiful.

Great detail in the eye and focus is spot on

Live View is excellent ,I have tried it on a few landscape shots and it has helped me get the focus right. It only works in Manual focus.Would be great in a still life situation,or landscape but as for moving subjects, i would say near to impossible.

Agree with Steely Dan. How did you get the animl to stay still for so long while you where focussing?

    I bought it! LOL

It’s my pet Bearded Dragon called Ed, which is actually short for “Steady Ed” as it tends to do very litle unless you let it out of its vivarium. Thanks, i’m well pleased wih the camera for macro, but its sill hard to use compared to the 350D i had, so many settings!
