    My Son.

I’m dissapointed in the compression – it does no justice to his facial features but it prints grand!

    Another good one Alan,
and I’m sure it does print grand-

Fine looking son you have there,
looks like he might have a critical appreciation of the piece himself

Next time, he might be standing on that rock-

Doubling the focal length might be good too-
quite easy with modern luxuries like zoom lenses these days-

    More lovely sharpening too-
if you have it on a separate layer,
you could try erasing it around the head and body-
it looks a little hard at this scale-

    More good stuff Alan-

    Shouldn’t this be in ‘People’?

That’s a really nice composition and perfectly exposed.

Thanks for the pointer Joseph. This was a job too far. I saved it half way through but when I reloaded it I had lost the layers from .psd format. I had to do some salvage work around the little nipper but I’d have been better off going from scratch…it’s been a long day, etc. I’ll try loosing the sharpening from his face, damn I’m annoyed by the compression! :x And regarding People – I was going to put it in Landscape, huh!

Thanks Alfapixels (Alan, isn’t it). I’m getting the hang of post processing so things are looking up. Next thing, get out to get a few more photographs.

    Alan.

Ah yes, modern luxuries, zoom lenses. The penny, dropping, etc.
