A clothesline (but not in a voyeuristic way…)

Liam2673Participant
This is in Morocco, and is a crop from an image scanned in from film to disc.
MartinOCParticipantThe elements in the shot are great here Liam, and the splash of colour is a great contrast to the arid landscape and stone building. The rise of the mountains is impressive.
But I think a lower angle could have worked much better, get the clothes, in perspective, up above the buildings.
But the owners might not be too happy to see you too close to the laundry.Martin
aoluainParticipantAnother very nice one from Morocco Liam.
Love the colouring as Martin stated above.
did you get one in a landscape format?
it is really good as is with the scale of the mountains
but I cant help wondering and wanting to see more from
either side of theis shot.Alan
Liam2673ParticipantThanks for the comments guys. I like the splash of colour that the clothesline brings but the composition was a bit poor in the original prints hence the crop. THis is partly to do with circumstances….was on a hiking holiday and we were on a trail higher up the mountain, hence I was looking down at it. However you can see from the first photo that the clothesline was a good bit above the house so I probably could have worked a better angle in the way you described martin. I hope to do this trek again in the next year or two, so you’d never know!!!
I did get the clothesline in landscape (below) but its framed badly. THe crop is from the portrait shot.
Looking at these again, I regret not getting a better shot of the lovely olive grove beside the house.
this was the last of the 3 that I took
this a crop from the photo above, shows more clearly the family checking out the scene
landscape of the clothesline
portrait of same (the scrub at the bottom of the image is the hedge you can see in the first photo).
DeeboParticipantExcellent series of shots Liam. I never tire of your foreign shots, all very good.
The family seem to have a good setup with the surrounding fencing and nice grove to the side of the house. The first shot of the second bath is my fave, it puts the place into perspective in regards to the locationDee
Liam2673ParticipantThanks Dee….
at some stage I might get around to posting my Cuba photos, lots of che iconogoraphy…..unfortunately my camera fell in a fountain when I was there and I didn’t get too many snaps as a result.
