Took this about 30 mins before sunrise. I like the cool blue colour in this .
I know i could take of a bit of the bland sky at the top, but i think it adds to the mood.
Sean.
cathaldParticipantWell seeing as you left a comment on mine i’d better do likewise
I like the blue cold effect on the picture and as you say the top of the sky adds to the mood
That blow up branch worked well, jessops will do well selling these……LOLCathal

I always new you were a decent chap there Cathal…lol
SteveDParticipantVery nice Sean. Those sorts of skies are very difficult to deal with, and you will almost always clip the red channel in those highlight areas. I think a slightly stronger grad might have helped you here. I have been looking at the Lee 5-stop soft-edged grad for such scenes, or possibly the Singh-Ray reverse grads… http://www.singh-ray.com/reversegrads.html .
I like how the branch points towards the darker corner, and helps to balance things out.

De-aRtParticipantGreat mood from the colours and the sky.
Can’t beat a nicely positioned branch for foreground interest!
