No Brian, I don’t think these are too dark at all. I think these are back up to your usual standard. Perhaps there is some brightness dropoff to the left hand side of the frame in the 1st and 3rd images. Were you using an angled grad by chance? The light in the second is wonderful.
Andy, I remember seeing that shot of yours sometime ago, but I’d just lilke to say, I never set out to copy yours. I’ve been to the Causeway a couple of times and each visit I try to get some thing differant and there’s only so many shots to be had there.
But yeah I was using an angled ND Grad, I wanted to keep the dark filter off the rock, maybe a little Dodge n’ Burn will sort that out.

No where as brilliant as yours two but oh well. Shot in blistering hot daylight.
