Not sure if this post belongs here, I guess it’s sort of business related in a non profit way but definately related to photography in a dog lover way.
I am currently working on a project for a charity that rescues dogs that have not been reclaimed or rehomed from the pound. I’ve been doing pet photography for a couple of years now and from time to time volunteer my services for charities because I really value the work that the animal welfare do for the paws.
I have been and will continue to shoot dog portraits in my studio based in Dublin 15. There is also some outdoor work involved. I am a dog nut and really love working with such unpredictable personalities. The aim of the project is to create awareness and perhaps some funding for dogs that are in need. I will be presenting portraits and a short bio on each doggie model in a positive light to covey the true representation of rescue dogs, the sweet, well behaved, big hearted and loyal companions they really are, not the broken wrecks so often recorded by the media. I hope to encourage people to adopt a dog from the pound instead of buying one.
Just putting this out there. If there is anybody who is a bit like me and would love a project like this one, then please give me a shout. pm me here. It is a totally voluntary part time project. I am overwhelmed by the amount of work I have on at present and need an extra pair of hands.
