A few flies from today

Mikka don’t know why there aren’t more comments but 3 excellent shots particularly the first I love seeing them with bits of pollen on them. Still don’t know how you all get so close.

These are great. What did you use for lighting and what aperture did you have set?

Thanks for the comments guys. These were taken using the Canon 400D, 100mm f2.8 Macro USM and Marumi DRF14 Ring flash (cheap but does the job).
First one was f16, 1/200th, iso 100 and the second and third were both f11, 1/200th, iso 100………………MikkaThe clarity and detail in each of these is great…I’ll need to give this a go sometime…
