A few Infrareds, havent posted any in a while….

I agree with some of the other comments about the contrast. It’s most visible to me in the grass in the first image. Although that image does seem to have more contrast to the others.
Inspiring work as always Martin. The second photo is my favourite. Very moody.
LudaParticipantEddieParticipantNice work as always, like the square image format on these especially the tree image. They are closer to film Infrared than previous digital Infrared images you have produced.
MartinParticipantSorry for late reply, writing this at 100miles per hour… up to my eyes in work at the moment….
ossie13: :-) Yea no 1 is from the day out at Slane well spotted
Jess the Springer: yea the cross caught my eye also when i saw it. Really nice Castle and the areas around it
is really nice also. The D70 and the Bronica for IR are very different. The Digital is very handy in that you
can check the exposure straight away and retake the shots etc. Only problem with the digital is that you are
stuck with one type of IR look really. With the Bronica you can get many types of IR looks by using different
film types, different filters and developers. For IR film is the way to go. Only problem with Film
IR is that its expensive. Medium format 120 IR film can cost a good bit for example the Rollei IR 400 is about
8.50 euro a role. On a 6×6 camera you only get 12 shots on this role but also you have to bracket each shot so
you can only really max end up with 4 shots per role. But those 4 shots can be magic…irishwonkafan: Thanks for the feedback on the darkness of some of the pics
Rob: yea its Dunmoe Castle. “How on earth did you get so close to it? ” i could tell you but then i would then
have to kill you. Only joking there is public access to it, not many people no how to get access though. Very
easy to get in at it and well worth a vist as its a magic locationMadra Rua: I can scan in a map and post on details to your self and Rob on how to get there
thefizz: Cheers Peter, Your Castle:-) its mine now…
Eddie: Cheers Eddie. Yea these film IR shots are different to the digital ones I was doing. The film ones tend to have a bit more mood to them which is a real +
Thanks again all,
Wont be around the site for 3 few weeks as i’m off on my Holidays:-)
See yea

Appreciate that Martin. I’ve driven down the lane to the house at the bottom before,
but I wasn’t certain if I could go any further. Might I presume I just need to pop
over the gate and through the field?Rob.
thefizzParticipantContinue past the house and you’ll see the gap in the wall to the left.
Dunmoe Castle is included in some of the Meath Tourism leaflets so there’s no problem visiting it.
