A photography challenge : The Alphabet

Hey folks, I hope this is the right area. I posted this over at boards yesterday, and I thought it might be something that some of you would be interested in. This is a little project to encourage creativity. Details are below.
This is a little game for photographers that I have come up with. The aim of the game is to collect a photo for every letter on the alphabet (either on flickr or pix, in it’s own set). The idea is to show creativeness in interpreting set goals. Obviously the skill level on this group varies majorly from person to person, some of us are just starting out, where others have been at this for years and have been published etc. While ability, and equipment (studio set up etc) may play an important part in this, creativity is the main target.
For example, A:
Photographer 1 may put together an extremely artistic shot involving an apple, great background textures, they may leave the apple age a couple of days.
Photographer 2 might present a landscape shot taken in Adare
Photographer 3 might give us a shot that represents Apathy. This would allow us to explore our ability as photographers, try something new that is open to interpretation, maybe even give each other some ideas.
If you feel like a bit more of a challenge, try to fit the lot in with a specific theme. For example someone who is really into interpretive stuff might choose the theme ‘Emotion’. Awe, Boredom, Confusion etc. Or someone into landscapes could do something similar (Even with local towns), or Cars. (Although a specific theme like this would require some letters to be left out in all likelihood). Something like this may be particularly useful for someone with a lot of experience looking for a bit more of a challenge.
I think to give this a fair go though, people would have to submit only new photos. Obviously this is just for fun, so if you have something old that you want to use then that’s no biggie, but the whole purpose of this is that it is treated like an assignment.
I think it might be best just to leave the entire thing open for maybe 2 or 3 months. Leave people work away at their own pace, in whatever order they want. They might get two photos done one day, then nothing for the next two weeks. No rush.
(3 months means an average of two photos a week. Is that too much? Would six months be better?)
There are no prizes, no winners and no judges. This is just a chance to push yourself and to see where you end up, and to see where others end up too.
Anyone up for this?
EDIT : I have set up a group for this at Flickr : http://www.flickr.com/groups/alphabetchallenge/
slang61ParticipantYeah would love to give it a go – i think i will go for a simple option but will try and keep a single theme.
shutterbugParticipantMarkKeymasterGood idea.
You should probably do it on the site here, more conducive to discussion and learning…
slang61ParticipantThe only thing os Mark that everyone taking part has to post at least 26 photos…
Stuart.

I would like to see discussion here about the project, but I have also invited a bunch of people from boards and they would probably want the discussions to be there, and a mate of mine is involved with a forum over in asia and will be inviting people from there.
As an even ground what I would suggest is that as people take their photos they post them in whatever forum they want for C&C, the discussion part of flickr is a POS anyway as far as I am concerned.
As Slang said, there would be an awful lot of photos posted for this.
drunken_spartanParticipantWow sounds like fun….anytihng to get some creative juices flowing would be great…
