YermanParticipant
€800 for a bike, think i will give cycling a miss and spend my money on what i love most (outside the wife of course) photography.
PD_BARBSParticipantThats my thoughts, look at the lens you get for that. This cyclings only a fad, it will pass soon.
cathaldParticipantthe only thing about a decent bike you will get most of your money back when you sell
A new lens will not get me fit and healthyYermanParticipantCathal, think of the bikes suspension on the roads (not your weight He He) around Inishowen, did you ever hear of power walking with your camera, you might never know what you would come across up in Gleneely.
cathaldParticipantI use the famous wee white van for the cross country stuff Charlie
it will go over anything and I wont break into a sweatcathaldParticipantCompleted my first race today
stayed up with the pack for the first 8 or 9 miles then dropped back
But I completed the courseOnly obstacle I had was the Arrow hanging out the side of a van taking pictures
and I’m sure the fecker will post a few up here some where with me with my Lyra gear on(calm yourselves down ladies)Thanks to the folk who sent me sponsorship money it was for a great cause

€800 is only scratching the surface for a bike. The new one I’m getting is €2700 after having my current bike for only 3 months. Cycling is addictive :D

Jeez, you can get one with an engine for that sort of money, you know that?
kensutzParticipantIt’s all about the pleasure from the pain of the cycle :D Engines are only an inconvenience and weigh the bike down
