Aasleagh Falls

    Hi folks,
    Just joined the forum so this is my first post. Picture is of Aasleagh Falls [at the head of Killary Fjord on the Galway/Mayo border] before sunrise. I find that early morning is the best time to take a picture of it – the mist rising off the river and waterfall is backlit.

    nice colours but its hard to make out the falls.
    for me later in the morning would be better to show off the falls.

    Thanks for the comments. The waterfall itself is hard to see in the picture, but I find that once the sun rises above the surrounding hills, the light tends to be a bit flat and less interesting. Below is a close-up taken the same morning [though still before sunrise] :-
