LOL top secret it is, 8)
12mm wideangle on a full frame camera, proper wide:)
np72Participant12mm? I’ve heard of a 14mm fisheye before, one Canon were making for Eos film cameras, never heard of a 12mm though, it really works well on that shot though. Is it in Cork?

I meant that it was taken at 12mm. the lens is a 12-24mm sigma, yeah, its not often you find a lens that you have to be careful to not get your feet in the shot.
np72ParticipantEven still, a 12-24mm would have been rather uncommon and on the expensive side for a film camera, can’t imagine it’s that cheap even now.
MarkKeymasterCracking place Al. I like the 2nd last one in particular, so wide I’m dizzy from looking at it :)
jodal1975Participantgreat location and cracking shots , where is it….: l0l : the 2nd , 4th and 5th i particularly like. they remind for some reason of the resident evil games that i played years ago on the playstation 1 and 2 :-) didn’t realise that 12mm was sooo wide on a full frame, thats practically a 180 degree view!!
RobMemberGood set Al, real sense of abandonment and decay in these images. I’m not
overly gone on the processing though – looks like you might have been a bit
heavy-handed with the highpass filter in photoshop, leaves a bit of a halo…robmgraMemberAgreed with Rob. Nice set but the heavy handed processing is slightly letting down otherwise lovely shots.
Id spend hours snapping in that place.
jungleParticipantCheers all,
The processing was HDR which is just something I like, didnt touch the high pass filter, it’s just a love it or hate it thing. For Urbex shots, I love it:)neilerParticipantI am not usually a fan of HDR but I think I’ve just discovered where it works!!! the indoor shots are amazing, and the processing really adds something special to them. Well done!!
fguihenParticipantI think they are great shots, but are seriously overprocessed. Composition is amazing and subject matter is just incredible, but processing does not appeal to me. Looks like when i go nuts wtih contrast and sharpening tools. I think you can still get that cold bleak effect without having them look overprocessed. great job all the same.
