Sometimes when I select several images and then choose the option ‘photo’ and ‘edit in photoshop’ nothing happens other than a duplicate image appears in Lightroom but nothing happens in CS2. I try it again and end up with a third duplicate. Plus my Lightroom does not seem to recognise that I have CS2 installed. I had to manually select photoshop.exe as the otpion in ‘photo’ menu. Maybe I should try re-installing because my trial period runs out in 15 days and I would like to make a final decision whether to buy or not. That’s strange alright. I’m using Elements, and LR recognises it fine, also selecting multiple images and hitting CTRL-E, or Photo/Edit opens them both in the editor. I’d maybe try a reinstall. I think I installed Elements 5 after the LR release, so maybe the installation order makes a difference, but I can’t see that being one that Adobe would let get out the door

I’m not sure if Lightroom will detect a Photoshop installation if it PS was installed after LR.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantRight, I am ready to throw this software in the bin………
Can anyone explain how or why I keep getting this error message when I try to edit in PS CS2?
ValentiaMemberIs it something to do with the form the TIFF is saved. I vaguely remember seeing somewhere something about making sure TIFFs are saved in a particular way but I’m probally miles off the track.
Have you been on the Adobe Lightroom forum ( http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc2cf0a/ ) Ross. There are also a number of other sites popping up with a lot of useful LR FAQs and videos.
Maybe if you ask at the LR forum you may have success. It’s a strange one though.

Is the TIFF saved with ZIP compression? Can you open it in PS? I’ve had a few apps barf at that, including I think, though not 100% sure about this, the Lightroom beta. At any rate, as error messages go, it’s not the most helpful
wjklewisMemberHi Ross, as you know I downloaded the trial about the same time as you. It runs a bit slow on my machine ( I only have 1.5 gig of memory)but I would put up with that because I just love the Develop section. The adjustments and conversions are great. I tried to replicate your problem ie edit in PS and at first i thought A ha! Ross is right, but just as I was sitting looking at the screen, the image did open in PS. I have tried it a few times, it just seems to take an age to open, but it eventually does. Perhaps you want to go faster that lightroom will let you.
Not sure if this is of any help I didnt get ant error messages as you have.
John
PS I still like Lightroom slow as it is.
