Advice needed

Just finished a photography course in Killester College and would love some advice in starting off in Gig Photography. Im so confussed as to how people start off in this line of photography because reading about it u need a press pass for everything. How do these people get the press pass to begin with??? I would really appreciate the advice.
How about emailing / contacting some newspapers? They might be able to give you some insight on what the process is for getting a press pass? What course did you do? I am doing a 4 week beginners course on Monday week really looking forward to it!
hey Fionawysecrilly, i did a year in Commercial Photography. Im sick cos i only just found out about the Student NUJ and i thinks its too late now cos my course is finished now.

Ah it’s just a 4 week beginners course being held in a local hotel, it would be a little basic for you :D
ah sure to be honest with you, your probably better off with 4 week cos most of what ive learned bout photography was going out and shooting pics myself. or Mr Google LOL. Any type of photography ur interested in?
I like to take pics of people when they are not watching, not sure what style of photography that is! Sneaky???
I would ideally love to become a wedding photographer, I got a casio elixim camera as a wedding present and I swear it just made me fall in love with taking pics, weddings are so a happy time so the thought of going to work everyday doing something that you love really appeals to me but at the same time it would be a very very hard job! I know what bridezilla’s can be like!
