Picture was taken few months ago at Cork Airport shortly after the small private jet landing.

Gear I used for this shot:
    Canon 40D
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 II USM
    Hoya ND 8x
    and Silk ATM Tripod

    Exposure f/22
    focal length 16mm
    ISO 100

    Comments welcome

Very nice just asking whats the Hoya ND 8x is it a filter. The Black and white looks very well.

Thanks for your comment and yes this is the Hoya Neutral Density filter and it reduces the light about three f-stops.

Prefer the b/w, but thats just me! Can I ask, was there water on the lens? I think those 6 sided shapes (sorry, no clue what they’re called) kind spoils it for me. I like the reflections on the side of the plane, the buildings out of shot.

The colour shot is cool too. Lovely pinky skies. Could be Miami!!?

I like both, but I do think the sky lets it down a bit, too much movement
in the clouds plays havoc with hdr, I wonder what it would have looked like
if you had moved a bit more to the right with the nose just obscuring the
sun? Did you take any more from a different angle?

No there was no water on the lens. I was shooting almost straight to the sun which was very low at the time “sunset” and this caused “lans flare” on the picture.

Yeah I took couple of different angles but somehow it wasn’t good for me. I agree the sun could be closer to the nose this could also kill some of the lans flare from the sun unfortunately there was some ramp equipment around me.
