Afternoon Trad Session

An afternoon session in The Quays Bar, Temple Bar after Paddy’s day.
Stuck my head in got a couple of quick shots and left.

nice light spilling in from the window. The lady in the foreground isn’t in focus, same with the microphone. I like the grain in the picture which works well for the guitar player.

That’s a great shot with a classic, authentic look. I think you really captured to mood here.
I especially like the strong highlights and the rich mid-tones and for me the selective focus including the out-of-focus bits works well here as it gives in it a journalistic look.

The shot was a bit rushed so theres probably room for improvement, I’m never quite sure as to what reaction you’re going to get from staff when you just suddenly turn up with a camera and start taking shots.
