Just bought one (when will it ever end Joseph?) for £14 on the Bay which seems a tad steep considering they are valued at €3-€6.
Takes 120 film and produces 4×4 negatives.
Anyone have one or know anything about it?

Seens some pics taken with one on Flickr… look good… e.g.

Well, I don’t know when it will end, but you’re definitely winning…
4×4 is unusual, they must have been concerned that the edges would go all blurry-
might be interesting to get the stanley knife out and cut away some plastic-nfl-fanParticipantnfl-fanParticipantI could be looking stylish & unique at Lo-Fi #2… especially now that you’ve upgraded the plank and it no longer qualifies as Lo-Fi.
jb7ParticipantI dunno, I mean, if you look at what Mark has written into the heading of the lo-fi section, you’ll find-
Low Fidelity Photography
Photography with the most basic of instruments, e.g. pinhole cameras, Holga, Lomo, Diana and other such ‘Toy cameras’,
also pictures taken using two short planks. So I think it still qualifies…
nfl-fanParticipantMarkKeymasterJust updated that description :)
Camera looks nice John. I don’t need anymore temptation though :)
jb7ParticipantI went to try a new lens in it,,
and the shutter was broken-
so I’m taking it to get repaired tonight-I’ve found a weak negative lens that’ll modify the plastic one to be around the right length for the new helical-
it’s one of the intermediate groups out of the Zuiko that Rob donated-Very frustrating not being able to try it out-
But if it works, it could be blurry enough for all you hardcore lo-fi types….
Ah, very good, thanks Mark-
Hopefully that’ll be good enough for Sinead…Alan RossiterParticipantWould a point and shoot camera with a plastic lens and a sticker of Kipper the dog on the front qualify as Lo-fi? I can anti-pimp it and put tape on it? Although I like the bile yellow colour of it. So, will it??
Nice Camera John. When are you building the extension for the collection? I’ve just noticed a slot for the flash…way too posh I’d say for Lo-fi II.
nfl-fanParticipantSo jb has the forum description changed… that’s the power of the O.G.C. for you.
PS. I’m only announcing the budget buys from now on.
jessthespringerParticipantAw, what a cute looking wee thing. I have a Diana, which also takes 120 and makes 4×4 negs. 16 frames instead of 12.
See, this is the great thing about the LoFi day, all these quirky little cameras, Alan, you and your Kipper the Dog camera would be most welcome on LoFi II
shall I add you to the list?Joseph – Didn’t you already quote me somewhere else? “Sinead wrote, aye”
And, em…
I’m only announcing the budget buys from now on.
That’s like starting to say something then deciding your not gonna tell the whole story.
C’mon, fess up… What else did you buy?nfl-fanParticipantC’mon, fess up… What else did you buy?
I’m not telling… I’ve got one little secret already kopped and am thinking about getting one of the ‘good’ ones when I get paid again.
jb7Participanttell….
Sinead, I think we were talking about one of those brass lenses when you said ‘aye’-
Alan RossiterParticipantMamiya 7II per chance??
Next thing you know you’ll be in to the Sinar stuff…what ever that is…
nfl-fanParticipantNo… Zoltan lent me his Mamiya 7 (is this a rangefinder Joseph?)
Whilst the image quality is top notch I just can’t find myself liking the rangefinder system of focusing… it’s drives me daft, when the light is dim it’s often hard to see the 2nd image to be lined up.
I’d find it hard to justify one of these cameras as the cost to benefit ratio just doesn’t add up for me. The built in light meter is handy.. but after that I’m not sure where all the money has gone on this camera… maybe the lens?
I’ve already told the Big Z as much… but I’m glad he gave me a lend of it as it’s nice to try before you buy.
