I’d find it hard to justify one of these cameras as the cost to benefit ratio just doesn’t add up for me.
The built in light meter is handy.. but after that I’m not sure where all the money has gone on this camera… maybe the lens?Well, according to those who know about these things, the image quality (based on the combined resolution of lens and film)
is almost on a par with 4×5, in a much lighter, quicker, and more portable package. Some of the lenses are amongst the very best ever…
Perhaps the only comparitive downside is the lack of movements available-
that, and the inability to compose on a ground glass…How come we’re talking about a 7II in lo-fi?
nfl-fanParticipantThe image quality does seem very good… the scans I made from it were flawless (ya, I know, you have to make a print to be able to talk about the image quality). I just wonder though could you get something similar with a Mamiya lens on another body of the cheaper variety?
How come we’re talking about a 7II in lo-fi?
It’s the GOAT #6 Law… it can’t be stopped… even the O.G.C. can do nothing about this… at least it’s not General Chat and is photography related.
nfl-fanParticipantThe Isoly arrived today in beautiful condition… especially considering this camera is about 48 years old.
A lot sexier looking than a Holga. Noticeably heavier.
3 aperture settings.
Much larger and clearer viewfinder than the Holga.
The camera back design is a much, much better than the Holga too… shouldn’t require any taping.
Just hope it takes as crusty a photo as the Holga now :)
